I have this door on a home i just purchased which won't allow egress because there is bo way to lock the door. In the process of repairing this would it be possible to upgrade the locking mechanism.

My current interior flush mount handle set seems to match your part #s 82-008 and 82-008K (dimensions match existing handle set exactly) but I have no slot on the exterior side. Is there a way I can add an exterior handle with lock that would work with 82-008 or 82-008K? If so, which part numbers ... (cont.)

We have PGT sliding glass doors that we'd like to be able to lock with a key on both the inside and outside. These doors are never used and don't want to take any chances with our little one getting outside where there is a pool. We have a normal swing door right next to the sliders, so no worries ...
