Need to replace two. Seems like there is a plastic tube around the iner spring. The plastic tube measures 24". Do I also need a tension tool to install?

I think S900-24 yellow for 30 lb window is correct?

This pic is for window balance parts in my window. I bought a house and the window has no markings or labels, so I can't tell u what the mfr is. There are no part numbers on any of the parts I have. The parts are the springs that lift and lower the window. The spring loaded clip that allows the double hung window windows to flip out from the window frame. And a bottom guide that the bottom of the window sides up and down upon, and allows ... (cont.)

The metal tub measures 24-3/8". To the bottom of the blue tip it measures 24-1/2. Should I purchase up or down a size? 24 or 25" balancer? This is for a 26" tilt out, double hung window. Spiral Balance Series: S900 Spiral Length: 24-3/8" Tip Color: blue Quantity: 2

No brand name or parts number on my window spiral balance, it's cased in with white plastic tube or thin PCV tube (which is now cracking). The tube has 34" in length for all windows, while the bathroom window is 24". The diameter is around 3/8".

Hello, I have a few windows that drop suddenly when lifted. When further investigating it appears the spiral balance slides freely out of the column..
