I ordered S900-26 balances. I should have gotten 27" but I moved the installation down an inch to account for the difference in length. I hope these pictures tell the story. I notice that only green and red is presented in the , is white tip not available anymore, the spiral balance that was in the window I remove is white and I wonder I can use the green tip? the window is a little bit heavy.

Hello, The springs in my tilt window failed. The window measures 44" from the top to the sill. I had the same thing happen to another window in my home. It measured 52". We ordered: (1) S900-25 : 25" Series 900 Spiral Balance (1) S900-26 : 26" Series 900 Spiral Balance (1) S900-24 ... (cont.)

The pictures are from a tilt window spiral balance that needs replacing. I'm thinking the S900 series, except that the length is 25-1/2" as shown in the picture. Tilt Window 3/8" Diameter Tube Balances 900 series. We need new hardware for Dutch Home 1992-1994 windows. PVC was around the spring tube with a black tip. Tube length is 26" with a 3/8" diameter not including PVC.\

I have a 3/8" diameter 26" length spiral balance for a 25 lb window sash. What color spiral balance do I use? Also, do the spiral balances come with an adjustment tool or do I have to buy one separately.

Old balance is half rod and half heavy spring. Top half is rod and bottom is spring. Total length is 24 1/2" to blue bushing. I replaced it with a 24" solid rod, but it is not long enough.
