Hello, my spiral balances measure .385 in diameter and have red tips. The ones I've measured so far are 26" and 24" in length. Rod length = 26 in. Rod dia. = 3/8 in. Sash weight = 5.6 lb. There were hints of red plastic residue on the top of the slide mixed in with the dust. Please confirm proper spiral balance required. Will also be looking for tool. Thanks, Paul

I am trying to order window balances. My balance rod measures 25 1/2 inches. Do I go with a 26" or a 25" replacement? Mine is a 3/8" Tilt tube - with a white casing. They are for a double hung, double pain, tilt vinyl window.
