I would like to install a keyed lock on the outside of this patio sliding door.

Sliding glass door locking mechanism. Outside lock doesn't work anymore. No markings or numbers found.

Installed in 1982 Anderson 6-foot sliding glass door. Only printing on lock is "ADAMS RITE MFG CO. INDUSTRY CALIF. PATENTED"

AM looking to replace handle with one with a key lock for the sliding door

How can I determine the MFG date of door to know lock works. It may be from late 90's guessing.

Hello Swisco,As you can see from image 0369, a piece of the hand-lever sheared off. Cast into the hand-lever itself, I notice a number: C-7442-5. I am trying to create a keyed entry so it can be unlocked and accessed from the outside. I ordered and installed 82-317, however it can now only be operated by the outside key, that key can only be removed when in the locked position, and so once we remove the key the thumb-lock inside is stuck in ... My Andersen sliding door 200 series, looking from the outside,moving door is on the right and the door slides to the left. I pulled the inside unit off and it has 7442-2 and 7442-3 stamped on the inside. Do I need to purchase a right or left key assembly?

I installed this exterior lock on my gliding door carefully following the instructions. The keys work well. Thumb latch wouldn't connect. Uninstalled everything you see in picture. I hope this is replaceable.
