My hand crank opens the window, but unable to close the window. Replace the hand crank only, but that did not work

My casement window won't close-gear is stripped. I'll need 39-253-RB. Can you suggest how to remove this operator cover in the photo so I can begin? I have this window crank and I need one with a folding crank handle. It doesn't look like the handle comes off the the crank.

The operating part measures 16" long.

Two cranks like this one shown in the picture need replacement. I have highlighted the one 'arm' has the number <32010> stamped on it and circled in the picture. Hi, I need to replace the crank and catch on these windows to make them bronze. It says Truth on the hardware and i think they are hurd windows.
