Greeting: I am trying to replace the broken window coil balance springs on my bathroom window. Both sides are now gone. I've removed them both and neither side seem to have any markings on them. I have ten Simonton double hung, tilt-in windows from the 90's that have issues. Several have broken either the pivot bar or the shoe, or both as I fix up this house. For the lower sash, weighed in at 15.4 lbs on the 31.5 width x 51 height windows, of which I have four, the coil is stamped "408" I ... (cont.)

Trying to figure out which coil balance pieces to order. The only marking I see on the coil itself is "406" Can you suggest some parts to try? The photo of the broken piece does not show the round metal part that the tilt part in the window slides into. There is no markings I can find. I looked online and couldn't find anything that looked like what I sent. This is a tilt in window.

This part holds the upper window when it tilts out. The first picture is what broke off in the second picture. Do you have a replacement?Linda

I have 3 different sizes of Simonton vinyl windows I need to replace the broken balances. They have no markings on the coil springs. The first one has a top sash weight of 9.6 #'s and the bottom weight of 10.4 #'s . The second one has a top sash weight of 7 #'s and the bottom weight of 7.6 #'s. ... (cont.)

Looking for correct replacement balancer assembly as pictured, i realize the Simonton parts are obsolete, hoping you guys have a direct replacement. I am trying to get a coil balance to go onto the coil support. I purchased 4 of each and had no problems with 3. Could either the coil balance or the coil support be the wrong size.

I ordered the 15-259 coil balance pivot shoe, but the coil I have uses screws to attach to the shoe. I am assuming the 15-259 is not correct but I need a different coil/shoe part?

Single coil window balance (I think that is the correct term for the part(s)) for tilt out vinyl windows. Within the case with the philips screw is wide coil that allows the lower part of the window to open and close smoothly.

That's for a Simonton window.

Hello. The piece is 1 1/4" wide, 3/4" deep and 2 3/4" long. What can I replace with this? I saw there is a coil weight, which one should I buy? Each window is weighing about 12.5 lbs. Thanks

We need to replace balances on Simonton 5500 series vinyl replacement windows. We would like to do 1 window first. The coils have no stamp on them. Please a having broken on one side window

I have recently purchased a house with a number of these windows which have the same problem. The pivot lock shoe on one side has gotten stuck at the bottom and, I assume, as a result of forcefully attempting to close the window fully, has bent the pivot pin and broken the tilt lock.
