I can't see any way that the 'spring' on the plastic lock catch resists on anything to allow the catch nipple to raise up to engage the door frame latch. When I reassemble the latch, the lock catch just lies loose with no tension.

Hello, does this product come in satin chrome?

The channel is stamped 26DS 42. It has plastic fittings on both ends. A pair ofpully/cord guides is fixed inside the channel.
