At the risk of sounding totally stupid, when you place the pin into the frame, is the spring supposed to drop into the hole into the interior of the frame itself? Or is it supposed to stay on the outside, between the pin end and the frame?

This is out of a 31 year old slider made by Trimslide, who are out of business. Can you match this up for me? Thanks, Paul

This small window glide fits into a little notch on the bottom of the window and allows the window to move along a metal track in the frame. What type of metal are these pins? I live in a coastal environment and the original pins for my Peachtree screens totally disintegrated in only 6 months. I purchased the plastic pins from a hardware store - the same type you have - and they are too short.
