I've never seen a design like this before and not sure yet how to disassemble. The sashes sit in a vinyl tracks that fully conceal the spring and shoe. To remove the sashes you have to push the right and left tracks in towards the wall to pivot the window, no levers or buttons. Then tilt the window ... (cont.)

Hi, I have two double hung windows that aren't attached to their springs anymore. It looks like the plastic pieces that connect the spring to the bottom of the window has broken. Can these pieces be replaced? Is there a way to remove them from the window track? Thanks Bryant

My windows are double hung 8 pane wood circa 1984 tilt out windows that slide on two full length plastic tracks that contain two 18 1/2" springs for balancing the windows. Unknown window manufacturer, 25 years old. This part goes inside the side channels which the window sash slides up and down on. The top broken tab connects to the spring inside of the channel. The plastic spring hangers have broken. I know the design was changed to a thicker part. I need the original spring hanger or I need new side supports. Do you recognize? what do you have? Bob

These are snap-in balances, 3-5/8" x 66-1/2. The sash have a single rod sticking out that fits into receptacle in balance. Sash are VERY heavy, 30" wide x33" tall, with interior and exterior grids and GBG.

I have Crestline double hung windows that were installed in my house when it was built in 1991. The current problem is that the lower jamb in one window will not stay up when opened. I have never seen this window before. Has cbc 2-97 on the glass. The shoe that is in the jamb has the clip that the spring was attached to broken off.
