the tips on my spiral balances are white. the windows are from the 1950s I am guessing series 400 spiral balances but not sure of what tip color to buy.

Hi, The house was built in 1954 and a brand name on the window says "C-Alwintite". One picture shows a spring which I cut to remove it, so a square shaped metal plug attached to the spiral that wedged into the bottom of the sash.
