Hello. Our newly installed patio door lock does not stay locked. All you need to do is to move the door forward or backward and it unlocks. It does grab the stationary clasp but it will not stay locked. Can you please help. Thank you

My door handle is broken and I bandaided it for a while but now the locking mechanism is broken and it won't latch . Series 6820 SGD SGD-R20-96 X 96 . IWC is stamped on interior handle . Has a exterior lock . Door is 1" thick. Screws are 3 15/16 center. Is the interior handle is cracked and bending, is this part available? Or the whole system? Thanks Bruce
