Spiral balance with plastic sleeve
i have a plastic sleeve that covers the spiral spring unlike your 600 series balancer. The length of the plastic sleeve per your measuring instruction is 22" but the blue plastic bushing is recessed about 1/2" inboard. Spiral window balance replacement.
Is it possible that if you have a beefer balance it would over power the window? How do I know which one is the right one for the weight of the window sash? My bottom window sash is 33" w x 23" h. Spiral balance colors
I believe that my old balances are the red type, although they seem orange I believe they are faded. Is it ok to overshoot and order the black tip instead of the red for the extra strength?

Replace pivot shoe and window balance
I have a vinyl double hung tilt window - both top and bottom tilt. I believe the pivot shoe product code is 15-015. The window balance tube diameter is (9/16") or considered 5/8" and is 22" long with a white tip. What series tube do I need? Thank you, Bill

Should spiral balances be lubricated?
Should the spirals be lubricated? How often and with what? It seems the old spirals get very sticky and I am sure contributes to the breakage. Thnaks, Jerry
