Hello, The width measures 1/2-9/16 inch, and the length of the channel is 21 inches.

The cable of the hook for my channel balance of a top hung window was broken. The balance was made by Caldwell Model 20 4 JP as shown on the picture. It was for an old aluminum Milguard window may be 16-20 years old. It is still good.
