i have a 29" long metal channel that has repeatedly broken over the last 15 years because i think the window may weigh more then the springs can handle. the window size is 50 inches wide by 32 inches tall. the current channel/spring assembly has a stamp saying "280 USB" on the back side. the wi ... Item is stamped Unique 28-c-30 4-21-96 not sure if it is 28 or 20 measures 29" metal u channel is 1/2" wide bottom end measures 1" of plastic on flat side of channel top plastic is 1 1/4" showing on U side of channel wings of plastic is 1" wide

Hello - Thank you for developing an efficient method to order the CORRECT parts and for the great do-it-yourself video. I did notice my rods have a white string attached to the bottom clip which I did notice when watching the video so am a little concerned about that detail.The rods are 29" long / a ... (cont.)

my rail measures 29" X 1/2" but there is a stamp on it reads 28B
