The balance is 1/2" wide measures 29" and it is stamped in the metal 2830 the balance top and shoe are both wing type, the hook is the heavy duty type. I need 4 total for now. Hi there, I'm looking for a non-tilt window channel replacement but uncertain which product would match the top and shoe of the one for my window (see attached pictures). This window balance measures 29 inches in metal length. Can you please advise me of correct balance. The window slides up to open. Thanks

The aluminum one is numbered 28DS48L. The steel one is numbered 2890R 48. they both came out of the same windows not sure if the aluminum one is a replacement one.The total length including the ends is 30 inches.

I have Alenco double hung windows. Can I use 2840 window balance to replace a 2830?

It is 1/2" 2830 stamped on metal rail. Window will not stay in any up position and is coming out when raised on metal channel side (left). How do I repair and what parts are needed? jamie

HI, Attached you will find photos of the channel balances used in our windows. The home is 12 years old and the windows are original construction. The number on the metal channel appears to be 28C but it could be 280. That channel is 29" long by 9/16 wide and 5/8 deep. Please quote delivered p ... (cont.)

Hello, I'm working on a Milgard vinyl, non-tilt-out, single-hung window, 10-15 years old, that needs balances. The problem is, the original balances are gone.
