Please find attached a photo of the stampings on a broken channel balance. It appears to match your S385-28 replacement; however, I'm not sure of the correct sash weight option. I just want to make sure that I order the right part. My broken balance has the inscription D8 F0 28-1 in it. I measured it and it comes close, if not right on the 29" Series 385. Is this correct? My channel balance explosively disintegrated in my window (sounded like a gunshot). Pulling out the pieces I found the length of the metal channel to be 29" (metal only). 19/32" wide (measured on the outer edges of the U), and 17/32" deep. The channel is stamped 28F. This window balance comes from a 28# window sash. The window per the contractor was a 'Philips' and the home was built in 2004. The metal frame is 29" long and roughly 1/2" x 1/2". What part #'s do you think will match this balance.
