I'm Having trouble with the plastic catch. where does the the plastic arm attach to create tension. mine just floats around and the button has no function.

The latch on the screen door doesn't work that well. For the door to shut, we have to lift it up so that it catches on the other side. If the clear plastic part was a bit longer, I think it would work.

replace broken plastic hook with new part. Looks like exactly same dimensions as old one but new "hook" won't reach far enough into the door jam to catch the plate there

The pella latch in the attached photo is not operating properly. It appears to be part # 84-225 from you in champagne color. Is that correct? Bill

I can't see any way that the 'spring' on the plastic lock catch resists on anything to allow the catch nipple to raise up to engage the door frame latch. When I reassemble the latch, the lock catch just lies loose with no tension.

Our screen door no longer latches. I removed the screen handle yesterday and discovered that the latch itself has a fissure at the base of the long plastic piece (see Figure 2b, right) with the latch itself. Hello, When the screen door would not latch, we removed the screen handle. Upon doing this, we think the latch fell to the bottom, inside the screen door.
