Do I need the anti-slam button?

My lock matches the 82-239 but does not have the anti-slam button. Do you have another lock without the button? Or can I drill a hole in the face-plate?

The interior lock handle broke. The screws are 6 1/4 inches apart. The overall length is 9 inches. There are no markings I can find. Do you have anything that would fit?

no idea the brand. did not see similar latch on you site. 82-259 not quite right. my latch paw pins are 5-3/8"c2c, housing ~10-1/8", and cover plate, as you can see from pics is 11-3/4" with mount screws 11" c2c. If indeed you have nothing, if you can ID the brand?
