As you can see, the channel that the tilt spiral balance should be installed is damaged (in original installation 22 years ago - not me). If I insert a balance screw plug, it would pop out the top. I think I have sent you a picture of the parts. The balance spring and rod that the window slides up and down on to keep the string taut is broken. When we lift the window up, it falls down. n my shopping cart I have a spiral balance, 23" (qty=2), among others. In the window side channel where it goes, at the top, there's a hole where the spiral balance is screwed onto, except that the screw hole is square. I'm looking for the plastic mounting clips that snap into a 1/4" x 1/4" hole to fasten the top of a spiral window balance. The clips have retainer snaps on two of the sides to hold them into the hole.

Hi, On 30.5 series 850 crossbow balance, does it come with a plastic clip instead of metal at the top? The one I have is plastic and it doesn't require any screw, but have a hole for a plastic clip. Hello, I have Alcoa tilt windows and would like to make sure I'm ordering the correct replacement spiral spring. Attached are some pictures. i need to know where to measure the spring. i think i have a 3/8 diameter and length is 35 inch. any help would be appreciated.

I believe these are series 770 channel balances and just wanted to confirm before I order. Thanks, I have 2 size one measures 35" long and the other is 29".
