Hello, I have Alcoa tilt windows and would like to make sure I'm ordering the correct replacement spiral spring. Attached are some pictures. i need to know where to measure the spring. i think i have a 3/8 diameter and length is 35 inch. any help would be appreciated.

I believe these are series 770 channel balances and just wanted to confirm before I order. Thanks, I have 2 size one measures 35" long and the other is 29". I need the 16 1/2 in balance. Mine are attached to the top with a little plastic clip but yours just uses a screw. Would I just put a screw in right below the opening for clip?

Small square hole in balance channel near the top of window should have a plastic insert that grips the screw that secures the spiral balance. Plastic insert sits in the square hole and flush without protrusion. My other windows have the insert. Didn't think to take a picture of it while I had spira ... (cont.)

I am looking for PLUGS that are inserted in screw holes on windows

I could not take a photo of the working balance but it has a plastic cap with a thin metal band that goes thru the channel and the 18" spring hooks on to the bar. The other photos are of the one we took out of the window with a shot of the pulley at the bottom.
