Hi, I need 2 viking window balances, stamp 2230, 23" long. But I don't know which series to use. The top appears to be 19-005. But the shoe is not exactly the same as 15-001 or 15-002. The shoe on my broken balance is 1 and 1/16" at the widest horizontal dimension. Whereas the 15-001 is 1" and the 1 ... (cont.)

I need to replace the non-tilt window channel balances in my 1990 Viking windows as most are a huge struggle to close. The channel balance shoes, tops and caps are all the same. When I search for Viking balances for non-tiling window, it comes up with S370-24. The metal channel section is 23" long. Is this the right part? The balance part number I found on the bottom of the mechanism is 2240. Do I have the right part and right size? Sam

The old channel balance which I removed from the left inside of the window has a long spring in the channel. Will the block and tackle work as long as I replace both sides? My windows are 20 year old Viking windows single hung. The number on the balances are (29")long #2840 with an upside down U at the end of the number. The next one (23") long with the #2280Y28.
