Need replacement parts for window channel balance mechanism. Mechanism is 28" long x 1/2" wide and has the following stamp on it: "Stamp 27-4 Caldwell. It measures 28" in length (metal Part only and measurement does not include plastic end hardware), 9/16" width and slightly more than 1/2" in channel depth. Hello, My current window balances need replacing and have a 2740 stamp on them, but I see this is rated for 19-26lbs. I have a window balance that I need to replace. It looks like it is 1/2 inch. It has the number 2740 stamped on it. Below that number I can see 3 S I. These numbers don't match any part numbers you have in your catalog. Thank you

I ordered the S395-29 balance. option 2830. I discovered that they are too long. My original balance is stamped 2740 so I should have ordered the 28" balance. The tops and shoes appear exactly the same. I have noticed one difference though, My original balance is only 3/8" deep while yours are over ... (cont.)

I purchased some replacement balances a while back but windows have too much play left to right. The originals are 2740 28" long 1/2 wide. Two window sizes, both use a 28" balance. One balance stamped 2740 BSI LK on the smaller window. The other balance stamped 2790 BSI LG 31 on the larger window.
