I installed spiral balances S500-33 using #32 brackets two years ago. The spirals no longer stay in the bracket. When the sash is raised the spiral pops out and unwinds to the bottom of the window. The bracket seems slightly twisted. The spiral seems straight. What should I do?

I have these failing channel balances, and would like to replace them, just so no one looses a finger in the window. Hi Folks I have a single hung, wood sash of 21 lbs. Height of 28" . From long point of sill to bottom check rail of top sash is 27". Jamb height overall is 54" from long point of sill.
