Windows will not stay open

The spiral balance matches closely to the 5/8 in 500 series with the small butterfly clip at the bottom. i tried to capture the underside where I think the bracket should go. ... (cont.)

I have PGT windows that have spiral balances (24" x 5/8" w/blue tip. We are about 100 yards from the ocean and the ends of the spiral balances are rotted off. Some of the aluminum frame is also gone so there is no place for the balance crows foot to connect to. Is there a part that will screw to ... (cont.)

This is from a C-Alwintite window. One of the sashes is missing both balances, and I cannot tell what the hardware is to be. The frame measures 34" high inside. The sash measures 17.5" high. Which clips?
I have a house built in 1985. All original Windows. None of the windows will stay up. Most of the spirals are out of the sash and will not stay in. Clips for S500 29" spiral balance
Hello - This is my first attempt at installing a spiral balance. I just ordered ten S500 balances, but I assume that there must be some type of clip that fits in the bottom of the window frame. I have attached a picture which shows the hook end of the balance. Please let me know if these clips ... (cont.)

Unknown balance clip
I just bought a house, and all of the balances are broken. The windows are metal, single hung. They look like thin spiral balances. However, I can't figure out where the spiral latches onto the window jamb. There are no little clips stuck to the wall of the window jamb. I don't know if they were ... (cont.)

replacement spiral balances
Trying to fix 1970 aluminum windows that the spiral balance has gone bad. The spiral drops to the bottom of the window frame. Closest thing I find is the S400-20. Would also need the appropriate bracket or attachment for this.

Hey This is the upper sash balance. The bottom sash balance is a spiral sash (same as Series 500). The diameter of the sheath (if you like) is 7/16". The length of balance is 29 1/2". Other dimensions are in the pics. I've looked and cannot find anything like this. Cheers Peter

Green Tip Series 400?
Diameter is 3/8", length of the tube is 25". I believe I need the 400 series but there is no tip color option? Current tip is green. The second photo shows what the spiral attaches to at the base of the sash. Do I need to purchase anything other than just the spiral balance?
