can you identify the part the picture is the left side, I need the Right side.

Is the spiral Bala cling tool specific to the brand of window?

Just moving into a 1987 house. Most of the windows do not stay open and none of the Spiral balances have color tips. I have a tilt vinyl window about 11 years old. The bottom window will not stay down unless I lock it shut. It will ride up about 2" or 3". Do I need to re-charge the balance? Replace? Which one?

The removal screw for the balance is behind a portion of the window framing. This is for the lower window only. Do you have any advice on what to do so I can remove the balance. I need to replace them on many of my windows in the entire house.

We just bought a house that has the original Alcoa windows. The windows still look good besides they do not open very easily. We had someone look at them and he believes they need new springs put in and rebalanced. Do I just need to buy replacement balances for this?

I need to replace both spiral balances - measurements are: 34.75 length, 1/2" OD, black tip. Pivot shoes look and slide OK.

I replaced the spiral balances in two of my windows and they are still not holding the window up properly. The spiral balances that I took out were red tip and I replaced them with a blue tip, which should be able to support more weight, but it didnt. Should I try the black tip?
