S400-17 17" Series 400 Spiral Balance

i am having troble finding a replacement part for this window balancer. it is 17in x 3/8 in.and has no markings. it is a non tilt window.

Hi, I'm looking for 3/8" spiral balance for non tilt old aluminum window. length is 17" and although it looks like the plastic tip was once white, I weighed the sash and it weighs 11.34 lbs. Should I go with red tip balance?

I removed the old balances which were broken, any hardware to anchor the spiral to the bottom of the window sash is not there, never was. It appears that it is up in the channel out of sight. We have a 3/8, 17 inch 400 series type rod that a spring broke. The window measures 18x30 and is an late 1960's aluminum frame non tiltable construction. Hello, please see the attached images for spiral window balance 17" non-tilt replacement. Image 0035 is the best shot I could get of one still installed. Image 0038 is from one uninstalled.
