Window will not stay open. Balance is broken

I just sold my house and per the agreement have to fix a window that will not stay open. I am 95% sure it is a traco window, double hung tilt in. I was told that traco is no longer in business so i cannot get a factory replacement part. I assume it is the springs that are bad but thats a guess. ... (cont.)

can you help ID this part for replacement

Parts that have given up the ghost and I need to replace. It is a 6lb spring. It also looks like a 15-087. Also there is a adjustable screw mounted below the spring holder as you can see from the picture. Is that to hold the spring to the side. Thanks for your help.

I need to replace the coil balance in a TRACO window. How do I know what "lb" coil I need? I got the spring out. It's a 7# 35" CMC 408. Attached is a picture of the part. Is this the tandem coil housing 15-086? Do I only need a new spring?

Hello, I could really use some help identifying these parts and finding replacements. The pivot shoes are about 4 inches and the bars look to be 2.5. I can remove them if needed to verify. Thanks! Walt

The photo below shows a spring that came from one of our tilt in widows. Do you have this part in stock? My handyman took these pics, no numbers or markings provided. Both "coil springs" (at least that's what I call them) are broken in this window. Do these come in different sizes? All I have is the window measurements (but I doubt that will help), and these pics ? By the way, we met at S ... (cont.)

I bought these 15-087 : Coil Housing Pivots for Gorell double hung windows that were installed 13yrs ago. The balancers have been replaced several 6-8 times in that time and the whole window replaced once trying to solve this issue. Would the balancer with the second section 15-086 work for a repl ... I ordered 4 - S180-5 for my Traco windows but I'm not sure they are the correct weight after comparing the new one with the old coil.
