I have pulled the head stop from my Andersen window and the sash balance has a code of E30 3#27 9-85. I assume the 9-85 is the date code. I bought my house in 1986. Dear Swisco, I'm trying to find the correct replacement balance for my Andersen doublehung window. The balance has 11600-17 on one side, 11600-A3 on the other, and BD31 / 89 on the end tab. No other number are stamped or inked. Window is 28.5" wide. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ralph ... (cont.)

I have an anderson balance marked 11600-3 above the patent numbers and E73 9#27 5 79 on the other side.

We took apart all of our different windows and wrote down the numbers stamped on the balances. The pictures we took make it almost impossible to see the stamping but are attached in case you need them. I need to identify the part that I need to replace iit is a sash balance. The markings are 11600-3 on one side. On the other side it is marked 11600-17. then has heavy markings BL23 9#31 7-86

My sash balance has s 9 #27 7 87 stamped on it along one long side. The other long side has 11600-17. The window code is cig 2 3 87. I am looking to replace the sash balances but those listed in the on line catalog here don't seem to match.

how the heck is the plastic piece across top of 11600-17 supposed to come out? we managed to get one out and see that there is a metal box on each side of top-- sash balance box, i guess. and how is that sash balance box supposed to come out? thanks!

I have an Andersen E63 9#31 9-78. I'm guessing 24-939 is the correct replacement. Is that right? Will the replacement fit the existing space without modification?
