I have a window that has no rods to look at. I moved in and they were gone. Just a big heavy piece of glass. The piece is a white plastic piece that broke on the side of the window that covers the metal bar inside the window. The metal piece no longer is hidden and stays up even window the window is closed. I have a broken top sash guide, seems to match your 18-166. When I removed it from the window, only one screw was holding it in place. Screw was in the top hole only. Should it have 2 crews and if so, maybe that is what made it fail. Tx

Double hung window has no mfg. markings or stamps. The balance rods are marked Caldwell. Length is one and a half inches and one half inch wide

We need to order a 1 replacement channel balance which has numbers 29 6 HW CMC 11 on it for a non tilt window. Not sure of type to order. It measures 30 in in length and is 1/2 wide.
