Here is the number on the original channel balence: 17-3 FA2 CMC 9. It is 18 inches long. We can't tell whether we need 385 or 380. Thanks

I have the measurement of the windows with an height I'm not sure what type of balances I need for these windows though

I need to replace a channel balance on my double hung window. The balance measures 18" an has 17 4 AQ CALDWELL stamped on the side.

I don't know which part these are in your catalog. They're approximately 19" tip to tip. Thank You for any help:)

I replaced my window balances with S385-18 for Caldwell 17 2 00 I measured them as 18" They went into one window ok the Hook for the pullie system was a little bigger but we managed to get them in (the springs are bigger than the ones that were in there). Can you help me identify my channel balancer. Metal measures 18" long. Stamp on balancer says "17 9 DU CMC 3". To me, it look like 19-005 top and 15-004 shoe; is that right? I don't know which stamp option (sash weight) to select. This is for a Milgard window that measures approximately 40"x47". ... (cont.)

Hello- I need to find a replacement for this window balance, the cord broke. The window brand has what looks like two M's stamped in the handle. The window is white vinyl. Probably from the 1990's window is installed as a replacement window in a 1960's house.

stamp says CALDWELL 17 5 10 whole channel 19" just the steal channel is 18" long.

I just installed two S385-18 option 1720 sash balances, but the window will not go in. It appears the balance channel is too tall. Now what. 2. The windows I believe are Aluminum and either were installed around 1987, when house was built or 1999 ( I saw that date on some of the windows), which could be just the window panes changed and not necessarily the whole windows themselves The balancers are of two lengths 18" has a side stamp (17 ...
