I bought replacement 840 S190 COIL BALANCE SPRING. But my window is still too loose. Can I use other coil spring to make my window tighter?

Does the perforated 8 on the coil mean I need to order coil 890?

I need replacement coil balances for a vinyl single hung window. It has an 8 marked on the coil. It is 1/2" wide. When extended all the way it is around 29" from the top screw that holds the coil in place to the bottom of the window sash. Can you let me know the correct replacement. ... (cont.)

How long are these springs? I got a replacement, but the spring is too short for the window, and I do not find the length spec anywhere. I needs to be at least 36" long for my windows.

Not sure what I need to order. The springs are stamped with the numeral 5. The housing that holds the cam broke. The left side which is broken has two coils and the right side has only one coil. Do I need to replace both sides in pairs?Thank you,Joe

I have a sash that when the glass gets replaced will be about 35 lbs. The existing coil balances are a pair of 7 lb coils on each side for a total of 28 lbs. How do I get to 35 lbs if your coils are only up to 8 lbs each? (I am referring to your S190 series)

A number 8 is stamped on the metal band. Measures 1-1/4" wide by 1/2" deep. If you have a part that works, I would like to purchase quickly before closing.

One single coil balance spring in my one double glazed window was broken. I took it off and checked the number stamped on it. It can be read as "9" or "6" but I weighed this window, which is about 20 lbs. However, I do not find any product in S190 series that can hold 9 lbs. If it is "9", it means t ... (cont.)

These look to be series 190, but I cant find any stampings on them. Doubles are stamped #6 Single is stamped #8

Hi, I'm trying to match a coil balance on your website. PHotos of mine are attached. The coil spring is 1/2 inch wide and has an 8 stamped on it. It looks like your 190 series but the table for the 190 on your webpage doesnt show the spring weight.

As shown in the photograph, the spring coil snapped. The sliding part of the window is double glaze and weigh just a little under 16 pounds. What will be the correct parts for both shoe and coil? Thanks.
