S395-28 28" Series 395 Channel Balance

Can you please tell me what balance in need based on the pictures? The metal is 1/2" wide and 28" long from metal end to end. Is this the S395 option 2740? I can't find any stamped number on the metal channel anywhere. Thanks!

Hi, I have what seems like an identical single hung Alenco window that requires a replacement set of balances. However, my old balance stamp is "2790 EK 31", and my lower sash weighs 31.8 lbs. Are there different options for the heavier sash?

Window 1: small Length of balance (excluding plastic) 28" Stamp is 2720 % Need a set of replacements Window 2 & 3: medium Length of balance (excluding plastic) 28" Stamps read 2740 % Need 2 sets of replacements, one set for each window. All three windows are Alenco brand.

Windows won't stay up, need to replace some sash balances, took a picture of the part number.

I lifted on of my windows and channel system broke. I check the rest of the windows and 5 windows do not function properly. I will need 10 windows channelsChris

My guess is that it's a S395-28. The old (broken) one has a stamp that reads 2790 BSI LG 31 on it. Which one is the right replacement?

I bought a replacement channel balance for a window. Same length 28" but the end of the channel that would be at bottom of window is quite a bit bigger [photo below with original on right]than the original and window does not shut on that end. You can look at the bars and see the difference in shape ... (cont.)

I need to replace two of these that are broken. I also want to order 4 of the clips that go with them. The only markings I can find are #2730 and under that is either 8S and RC or 85 and a RC. I want to be sure I order the correct number and weight.

Hi, Looking for replacement parts for my broken balance. It is 1/2" wide and 28" long. 2790 BSI LH31 is engraved on it. My sash weighs about 30 pounds. Wonder if you can advise me on the part from your catalog that would replace my old balance? Thanks in advance, Alexander.

28 inches in length, 1/2 inch width, stamped "27-4" Strings have separated from clips

16 year-old home. Non-tilt metal windows. Unknown make but assume Alenco since my top sash guide matches your catalog part. My balance (9/16" x 28") matches your picture for S395 but my bottom shoe is 1 3/16" deep instead of 1 1/8". Should I assume difference is due to wear?

Hi, Please help me order right part. 28" channel balance with stamp 2740 At one end(near spring attachment), I see plastic part has wing. Plastic part at the other end(near pulley) does not have wing. Please let me know if I need to send more picture for clarify.
