This is a window balance. there is a 6 on top one and a 5 on the bottom. They are coil type balances

This is what came out of my window sash. Note the upper housing has a piece missing from it. Looks like the bottom is 4lb and the top is 5lb, there were numbers on the springs that did correspond with the casings. This is from a home depot American Craftsman window by plygem. Other identifier is Silverline Windows 1200 Double Hung window.
