I have no number stamped on the any of my balances. I checked all three windows. I think it's either 351 or 391. They look the same in the pictures.

Replacement parts
This is a new question. Good afternoon. I want to order the correct 1/2" channel balances and parts for my windows, but identifying some of them is a little tricky. The house was built in 1979. The balances look like either the 351 or 390 series, but i can't tell for sure. The lengths are 24" stam ... (cont.)

Custom channel balance?
Do you make a need 24" counter balances with a 19-005 top and the 15-002 shoe. On my last order I purchased the S351-24 and then had to order the 19-005 tops separately and install. If you do what is the cost and the lead time? I need 12 pieces.

Based upon using your selection tool, I think I need something like the series 351 24" 2340 channel balance. But one of the ends look more like 15 ... (cont.)

springs wearing out, tougher to function?
We have single hung non-tilt aluminum windows. Most of them are very hard to open. There is a lot of tension perhaps. I pulled out the channel balance (part number S351, 24")and everything seems in order. My question would be why is to hard to open? does the spring get harder/more tension over time? ... (cont.)
