Identify sash guide
I am a first time window repairer and I have selected 2 each S380-27 channel balances to repair my window. I also need the sash guides but could not find any in your listing that have the top-to-screw-hole dimensions of 1-3/8". The windows were made by Alcan about 25 years ago. Please see attached p ... need help IDing channel balance
I am currently looking at a channel balance 1/2 inch 27inch 2640. The problem i have is that the shoe and top don't look exactly like what I have now. Milgard channel balancer

I have a sash that weighs 32 lbs. My balance looks like a series 380 or 385, they look identical to me. Length is 27in. 1/2 in wide. Do you have one that can support that weight?

Ive identified the 380 series balance as a replace ment but when I ordered it specifies 'OPTIONS NEEDED" Then, your ordering system system doesnt itentify the parts, just part numbers... What gives? Thanks, Dave

Looking for a channel balance
I'm looking for a pair of channel balances I think there called. They hold up a sliding none tilting window. They have a spring in them with a string and clip. The metal clip hooks up to the frame. I need to replace 2 channel balances. I believe I have the 27" 380 series and the old one has "26 5 AW CMC 2" imprinted on it. The sash weighs 15 lb. I'm not sure which option I need. Can you help? Thanks! Ryan

channel balance, springs are too strong
Hi and thanks for your help. I previously order part S380-27 (27" Series Channel Balance), option:2640, and it fits and works like a charm. The problem I have is that the springs are too strong, making it hard to close the window. I'd like to re-order some different springs, but need to ... (cont.)
