Thanks for posting! Yes, a 29" tube translates to a 29" long spiral balance in our catalog. Now, as you can see, the S900-29 has two tip color options: Red and Green. My existing spiral sash balances are 3/8" X 29" with a yellow tip. The removable aluminum tilt sash in a single hung window weighs 25lbs. I did not see "YELLOW" as a selectible tip color in your color guide. What color should I purchase to replace the two balances in this window? ... (cont.)

The tip is red and the diameter of the tube is 3/8". When I measure the tube it is 28 1/2" long. I'm just measuring the tube. I am not including the spiral or red tip in the measurement. Hi. I have Moss tilt out vinyl windows who will not stay open. The have a twisted metal piece on each side that goes the full length of both sides of the window. existing spiral balance is 3/8" x 28-1/2" (measured correctly) for tilt window. window is 20lbs. I was figuring on ordering the S900-29, but what tip color? Can you list all avaiable and their weight classifications? Is there a downside to overcompensating for weight?

Balances cannot be repaired, they are made to be replaced.

I need 6 balances that are 29 inches long and 3/8 inch in I think it is red but to me it looks like a dark orange color. Then I need 4 pivoit shoes and 1 pivoit hing and I am sending some pictures of this stuff.

I made the mistake of measuring my balances without removing the vinyl covering first, and it led me to believe that I needed 29" instead of 30" replacement balances.
