What is the difference between the 385 and 395 series? This is what I am trying to replace

Need 4 balances. Length is 28 inches metal piece to metal piece.

not sure which ones match these. couldnt find any other numbers beside one in photo. Also want to order any other parts that go on the window. There was like top clips that screwed on to window as well.

Dear Swisco I am about to order a couple of balances. I also need a couple of sash guides and did not see a picture like what I have. It is 5/8" width and just over 1 11/16 long. Stamp as pictured: 27 4 bsi 00 The width (or height) of bigger plastic piece is a little over 1" which apparently requires different channel than if it was exactly 1" -relevant according to one of your posts. Weight of window is 23 lbs. Whole window size is about 34"x58" Thanks, Jeff ... (cont.)

Hi There, I am needing help on identifying replacement parts for a non-tilt balance for a window. The metal piece itself is 28" long. The Window has the intials "GP" on it. It looked to me that the length was 28 3/32" the depth was 1 3/32" and the width was (measured on the top of the balance, where the spring can be seen) 21/32". the number listed on the balance was 740. pictures are included. Thank you Gary

The number on the balance is 2730. However I don't know which on your site is the right one based on the end connections. Any quick guidance on how to figure out which model is the one to buy?

Looking for a window part. This is the top of the sash with a little hook that hangs on the balance. These are from the contractor installed windows in a late 80s home. The string that runs through the pulleys and attaches to the spring broke. Only numbers are 27-4 GI5 CMC 50. The length of the metal (not counting the plastic) is 28". The width, as your website indicates, is 9/16". Were I to guess I'd think it is the 28" SERIES 385 CHANNEL BALANCE (S385-28) with ... (cont.)

Posted a question yesterday asking for help identifying the replacement for this. Pulled both from the window...the broken one doesnt match the working one.

No sure what part to order. Measurement was 29 inches.

Right parts? I ordered the ends as well not knowing if the window balancer rod comes with it or not. Just wanted to make sure that the stuff in my basket is correct for the part.

I have a single hung window that doesn't tilt. It is a 1/2" channel. Channel is 28" in length. But besides that I'm having trouble determining which of your channels match mine. Thanks!
