My 28" SERIES 385 CHANNEL BALANCE has 27 C stamped in it. Do you know the strength I need from that or do I need to weigh my sash?

My channel balance is in good shape but the cord snapped. Where do I find replacement cord and how do I know how long it should be?

My windows are the original ones .. in good shape through many storms but I cannot open many of them because the inside clips have become dysfunctional.. as well as the other part(s)... it?s hard to diagnose because the window may fall out. The numbers stamped on the balance are 27-3 DL5 CMC 43. I would think this would be a 27" balance but the metal piece measures 28" top to bottom not including the accessories. The sash weighs about 17 lbs. Can you help with a replacement(s).

WINGED CHANNEL BALANCE SHOE is okay on 28" Series 385 Channel Balance with my 27 4 fl caldwell

The length of metal is 28", the width is 1/2", the boot is 1 1/8" deep and top is 1/2" deep with phalanges. From what I can tell, I need the 28" Series 395. Does that sound correct?
