I am having trouble with a 82-265. Sometimes it cannot be opened because the anti-slam button is not fully depressed because there is too much play when the door is locked. I purchased 82-265 to replace a broken mortise lock in my house and now the door will lock but is difficult to unlock (have to jostle the door to get it unlocked) and the door will come open while locked if I give it a good pull. The locking mechanism that I have seems to bind when trying to lock it. I have removed, cleaned, lubricated (not sure if I'm supposed to lube it), and made sure that every screw is tight, even in the door jam bracket.
