Good morning, I'm looking for a couple of replacement window balances. The measurements of the metal portion are 5/8 x 28 1/4. There is a 27-3 stamped on the metal nearest the hook end of the balance. I do not know the window manufacturer. I called the builder of the home, and they were no help, eit ... (cont.)

Marked with 27 4 BSI RN on its end as shown in one of the uploaded photos, it is 28 inch in length (the metal only).

Unable to determine series from photos

Sliders have numbers 2730 imprinted on backs. They are 29 inches long by 5/8 inches wide.

From what I could research? It looks to be a Caldwell parts. Top 15P142 bottom 15P72. Stamp on shaft 2740 28 inches long, 9/16's high, 5/8 wide.

Hi, I need 2 window balances: 28" long 9/16" wide stamped 2740 It looks like I need a Series 395, 28". Would you please verify? I've attached a couple pics of the top & bottom end pieces. thank you!

Current balances are mixed 27-3 on one side and 27-4 on the other. Sashes weigh 22lb. The closest I can find is S395-28, but that has 15-001 (1-1/8" deep) bottom fitting which is deeper than my 1.093" ones. What do you recommend? Do you think it's necessary to mix -3 and -4, or can I just buy -4 ... (cont.)
