the number on the balance is 284 HL CALDWELL and the metal is 29 inches long and they are 1/2 inch, also I think that the top is part # 18-009 black Bill

They no longer work. Window does not go up/down. Home Depot says they can't help.

Which channel balance do I order to replace an Atrium 28-3-EW-CMC-11. Photo attached. It is 28" long, 5/8" wide, 1/2" deep.

I ordered the S395-29 balance. option 2830. I discovered that they are too long. My original balance is stamped 2740 so I should have ordered the 28" balance. The tops and shoes appear exactly the same. I have noticed one difference though, My original balance is only 3/8" deep while yours are over ... (cont.)
