The Spring pictured is made of BLACK plastic. It fits in slot in the window frame and keeps the edge of the screen pushed into the opposite side of the window. I think the window manufacturer is Arcadia...the side of the metal channel has 24-5 stamped on it...it is a tilt window.

Piece has a number 2 on left side as installed. Slot in window dash is one inch high by approximately 5/32 inches wide.

I think these are Anderson windows from the mid 1980's. I can't find markings on the corner of the glass. The seals are literally falling apart.
