82-226 Mortise Lock, 4-5/8"

DNS stamped on side of lock. This is an internal lock, in other words it does not have a key. The locking mechanism is worn out. Need replacement part.

Thank you for your prompt response, there are no identifying numbers or any information on the handle. The problem with the handle is the inside latch does not fully move up or down . There is 4 inches btwn the 2 screws. I hope that helps you Thank you, Kathy K

I live in a house built in 1987. The lock on the wooden sliding door is broken. I have attached pictures of it. Is there a way I can get a replacement? I hope I supplied enough information. Thanks, Pat C

I tried to replace my mortise with your 82-218. As you can see, it looks identical to me. I think it's a Simonton door but can't determine the model. It's from a 6' door manufactured in 2004. It looks a lot like your 82-226 from my measurements.

Which lock/handle do you recommend to replace this lock in which someone enlarged the opening incorrectly. I am able to enlarge the lock opening slightly to get a larger lock to fit. Thanks, Larry

I have a sliding french style door and the lock set no longer works. The latch does not move up and out to grab the mounted piece. I attached a picture. The only marking on the lock set is "DNS".
