Hello, i have followed instructions on Swisco "How to identify a replacement spiral balance" video, and have determined that the tube minus the tip is 30" long, and the diameter is 5/8" (really 9/16"). I have determned I need the S900-30 I just dont know what color tip I need Im guessing this is for the weight of the window and thus the force of the tensioner. Im a little confused , so can you just increase/decrease the amount of windings to control tension thanks, ross

Hello - I am looking to order some spiral balances for tilt sash windows. The original ones seem to measure about 30.25" to 30.4" (measuring the plastic tube that jackets the wound metal interior spiral). would it be better to order 30" or 31" length. thanks for your assistance.

This came out of an 30 year old vinyl window that did not have a manufacturer's label. It has a red tip. It is 30" in length and appears to have a 5/8" diameter. My sash is 18 lbs. I ordered replacement parts (S600-30). They came and are just a little bigger around than the original part they work but my decorative plastic does not fit on the new part; tool.works great. My tilt windows tension tubes are 3/8 plastic not metal. can you still provide replacements. The plastic are still working OK but the plastic is cracking exposing the spring inside. The tension tubes are plastic 7/16" dia. And the tube is 30 " long with a white tip. the sash is 14 lbs. Looks like ... (cont.)

Hello, I hope to replace a pair of spiral balances for an older vinyl tilt window. However these older tubes have a slightly different look and measure 30.25 inches. Is your 30 inch tube length comparable? (See photos)Thank you.Ed

Balances are a tiny bit shorter than 27" long, 5/8 in diameter, and have a blue tip. The white exterior is plastic and there is a plastic sheath around the coil inside. Thank you so much.

I am trying to figure out which one I have it's a spiral balance but that tube that was around. It was plastic and or disintegrated and it looks like a white tip and it's 30 inches.
