I'm assuming i need S140-7 as the shoes read 7L 7R. They are also marked T5,353,548 but i don't know if that is relevant. I do not have permission to cut yet. I am replacing the balance in one window and see that S180-7 looks like a replacement. Is the 40 inch long appropriate for a 24" sash? Also what does the small adjustment screw do at the top where the mounting bracket is located.

Hi, need help replacing the constant force spring assembly. The window weight is 30 pounds, so I'm looking at the 15-lb/pd/series-140-quick-tilt-balance which looks totally different from what I have I also need the rounded pivot bar. Is there any parts I need for attaching?

Hello, I have a Traco bathroom window from maybe the early 1990's. The spring has broken. Replacement cassettes might not be a bad idea either. The window measures 27 3/8" wide X 20 15/16" high X 1 1/2" thick. Using my bathroom digital scale it weighs 14 lbs. Any help would be greatly appreciated, ... (cont.)

The sashes seem to weigh (I only have bathroom scale) about 27 lbs each. I have about 35 of these Gorell sashes with coil balance problem. I?d rather rebuild than replace them. How do I know what weight coil to order? On the end mine are etched 7 CB ( mine are broken ) my original widths are a half inch wide with 2 holes on the end. the window is 44 pounds, vinyl frame. the existing balances appear to be 35/64" deep by 1- 17/64" wide with 3 coils. I inadvertently damaged them while installing the window.
