The coil spring balance has no indentifiable markings, but is 1/2 inch wide, and two spring balances are required, one on each side for the window to operate properly.

Following up here?I need replacement springs and I found your site and am hoping for the correct replacement recommendation. I don't know the window brand.The springs in the window have 740 stamped on them and are 13 millimeters wide.The attached picture are both sides of the shoes.Thanks! Joe ... (cont.)

First pic is the bottom which the window fits in and the second it the one attached to the jamb.the window has a LENOX sticker on it.it is not a coil spring but a flat steel spring

The stamp on the coil looks like 932 or 902. I am pretty sure the first number is a 9 and not an 8. Photo attached Bob MSI

I have the same system as your 15-180 shoe and Series 190 coil spring I have replaced the glass in the window but it is now heavier than the original glass and the coil balances will not keep the sash up. Replaced my coil balance twice and coil works great for couple of months and then breaks called customers service they said weight window it is 11 lb. Old one has #7 stamp ordered s190- 740 coil balance so do I need heavier size coil ? Steve

When the house was built in 2006 these windows were new. I expect they are basic contractor grade windows. Looking to repair the mechanism that lifts and guides the window.

I have a small window with 2 balance springs that are broken. There is a number 740 stamped on the spring. The springs are attached to the bracket with one screw. The other end rides free on the window quick tilt. There are no markings on the window for manufacture.
