I have a chanell balance that I need to replace but it measures 23" (length of the metal) and there is not a stamp option like the ones described above, all I have on mine is a 2 DS 45L BSL. Good evening. I am looking to replace both channel balances on two large windows in my home. The old balances have no stamp and I am unsure of the sash weight. The 5 photos hopefully give you enough information to identify the channel. Windows were installed in 2001. The channels were supposed to be identical but it would appear 1 has been butchered for an unknown reason. The only marking on the channel appears to be 22 4 HR CALDWELL (but is a bit uncl ... I need to replace the block and tackle devices on two windows. The first device has a designation 22 4 IQ Caldwell the second designation is 24 4 EQ Caldwell.I wish to replace both devices for each of two windows.I will attach photos of the plastic ends.

several windows in my home are outfitted with 2240 channel balances, and are quite difficult to open or close. Is there any reason not to replace these with 2230s?

Hi Swisco. I need to replace the 2 channel balances for my non-tilt window sash. Length of the metal channel is 23 inches and 1/2 inch wide. The weight of the sash is 16 lbs. Looks like I have a S380 or S385 what's that difference? Also looks like me top caps broke allowing the balances to come loose. What top cap will match the my balance? Thanks for your help Andy
