I have Certainteed vinyl windows, some single hung, some double hung, and some sliders. I need two vent latches. Maybe more in the future! Is there a secret to removing the damaged "vent latch" on the window sash? I have your item #26-148 but I don't know how to remove the damaged latch without damaging the sash. Many thanks for your time and attention to this question. Sincerely, Thom

This vent latch is not for new application. This product is only for repairing existing vent latches of the same shape and size.
