I have Alcoa, Vinyl, Single Hung, double pane, windows. 21 years old. The Spiral Balance is a 3/8" diameter, metal tube, approximately 12 inches long, attached to a metal spring, approximately 18 inches long, with a Blue tip. Total combined length is 30 inches. We need to replace the window safety stop locks, which should be easy. They are plastic and are basically fall apart when touched. More importantly, the tilt shoes are falling apart. Greetings, I currently have the rods in the images in my windows - one won't go up, the other won't stay up. The existing rods measure 27 1/2" from top to bottom of blue bushing. Can these be replaced with current models not having a plastic tube covering? Thanks! Bob A

ThermalGard windows. Balancer appears to be approximately 22" long and has a turquoise color tip. Price, availability and part number. Also, does the tip of the pivot bar go into the slot or locking piece of the pivot shoe, or just into the opening?

Im wondering how much a aluminum window weighs. I need to buy new spiral balances for one of my windows. It is a tilt window. measures roughly 35.75" X 53.25". Spiral tilt window balancers are shot. At the top of the tube is an inside insert that was held in place by the open metal rivet where the end of the spiral slips into. This was made of plastic. Do your units have a metal collar, or a plastic collar? 28-3/4 length (29" replacement); 3/8" ... (cont.)

Hi: I've got a couple of broken pivot block bar's that I need to replace (I'd also like to know how to put them in). The window is single hung & it's inside detention is 53" x 28 3/8".
